| Mari Yamashita (Vibraphone仌Marimba player/Composer) | ||
| Born 1973 in Mie, Japan. | ||
| Mari learned the classical piano at the age of 3 | ||
| and the percussion at the age 9. | ||
| Upon graduating from the Senzoku Gakuen College with | ||
| a classical music degree. | ||
| She had received the Maeda Music Prize and Japan Classical | ||
| Music Competition Special prize. | ||
| In 1999, She enrolled the Berklee College of Music in Boston. | ||
| She has also studied with Ed Saindon, Dave Samuels, | ||
| Victor Mendoza and Nancy Zeltzman. | ||
| In 2003, Mari went back to Japan to begin her professional | ||
| career as a musician, composer. | ||
| In 2007, Mari started her own label-Erato Music. | ||
| In 2008, She released her first CD "Erato" as a leader. | ||
| In 2010, She released her second CD "Sunflower" . | ||
